Marinette Cueco (1934)
Marinette Cueco est née en 1934 à Argentat en France. Elle vit et travaille entre Paris et la Corrèze. Elle pratique depuis 1960 le tissage et la tapisserie et depuis 1978, tisse et tresse les herbes. Marinette Cueco scrute la nature pour mieux la mettre en forme, la transformer: elle noue, tresse, lie, entrelace et festonne. En conjuguant la texture, le rythme et la couleur, elle fait de la nature le lieu et le matériau de ses interventions.

Marinette Cueco was born in 1934 in Argentat in France. She lives and works between Paris and Corrèze. She has been practicing weaving and tapestry since 1960, and since 1978 she has been weaving and brading herbs. Marinette Cueco scrutinize the nature to better shape it, to transform it: she ties, braids, bounds, intertwines and scallops. By combining texture, rythm and color, she makes the nature the place and the material for her interventions.
