Yolande Fièvre  (1907-1982) 

 

Yolande Fièvre est une artiste française née à Paris d'une mère musicienne et d'un père connu pour son inventivité. Elle grandit dans un environnement artistique avec un oncle peintre. Elle développe sa pratique à la fois en tant que peintre et sculptrice. Elle a étudié aux Beaux-Arts de Paris puis elle est plus tard devenue professeur aux Beaux-Arts d'Orléans. Paulhan, Breton, Requichot, Dubuffet ont été ses amis. Elle se passionne pour des expériences portées sur la matière, les textures et les accumulations d'objets. Elle met en scène une matière souvent organique qui donne un rendu peuplé de divers reliefs qui interrogent nos perceptions. On dit de son travail qu'il relève "du fantastique, du lunaire". D'un tempérament voyageur, elle a visité l'Amérique et a vécu en Egypte durant quelques années.

Paulhan, Breton, Requichot, Dubuffet were her friends. She was passionate about the experiences carried by the material, the textures and the accumulations of the objects. She produced a material often organic that gave a rendering population with different reliefs that question our perceptions. Her work is said to free “the fantastic, the lunar”. With a travelling temperament, she visited America and lived in Egypt for a few years.
